The Website Angels are talented, smart women who see that women are underrepresented in the technology sphere. Both of us love technology, the Internet, and helping others becomes the best they can be. We previously worked together at a CMS software company, where we were consistently lauded by both customers and coworkers.
After working together, we realized what great coworkers we make. Seeing the major lack of prominent women in the technology sphere, we decided to join forces and start doing what we do best - making websites and advising people on how to start and maintain their online presence. We know not everybody needs a high tech website, and that some people just need a bit of help getting a Facebook page started. Thus, we created an extensive list of services (which can be viewed here) to allow our customers to pick and chose exactly what they need and get the price they want. We believe that a beautiful and functional website should not cost as much as a new car, and that creating a website should be easy and fun.
Plus, we are angelic by nature.
Here is a little bit more about the Angels of My Website Angel:
Scilla first used a computer when she was around two years old. The memory is fuzzy, but it was likely an Apple II. Since then, computers have been second nature to her. She built her first website at 15 years old on Angelfire (which was really cool back then). It featured her best friends, favorite quotes, and a big image that read "NO CENSORSHIP." She went to Stanford Graduate School where she did not major in anything related to computers or the Internet. She has experience in writing and editing, and has built many different kinds of websites for many different people. Scilla can also do video editing, motion graphics, photo editing, and more! And if you need some cross-stitched pillowcases or knitted scarves to accompany your new website, she is your gal.
Joby was born with a halo over her head. Straight out of New Orleans, Joby now resides in scenic northern California where she enjoys being outdoors and raising her daughter and cat, whom she often threatens to sell on EBay (the cat, that is). Joby has years and years of experience in writing, editing, web development, customer relations, and being a cool person. Her SEO abilities are out of this world. On top of that, she has a great personality and could have been a stand-up comedian in another life (or even this one, if she wanted).
